The CCM Tacks 9040 Elbow Pads offer a lot of protection at a starting price point. The bicep guard has plastic reinforcement and the forearm has thicker molded PE protection that has been strategically designed to help guard against slashes and blocked shots. CCM included their JDP elbow cap design that deflects impact energy away from the elbow joint. The 9040's utilize a three-strap design to help lock down the protection and keep it in place.
